Adding an NTFS disk to a VM

I have added a 2tb NTFS HDD to my hp proliant server.
it is visible in proxmox

however when i go to mount it in a VM it doesnt appear in the list

any idea what im doing wrong?

You cant mount it from PVE GUI.
You will need to a) install appropriate ntfs-3g packages b) mount it via "mount" command or "/etc/fstab" from PVE shell.

Since you have not mentioned how you plan to use it, (c) is variable
