Adding a second HDD to PBS

Hi all,

I want ot add a second HDD to PBS/ I have added it to the server, initlaised it, when I add to datastore, I select ZFS, I tries to complete thie initialisation then it comes up with the error below. I do have another HDD but not dure why its throwing this error up, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I dont think I am trying ot nest the datastore (well not on purposes) Look forward to hearing from you, and thanks in advance.

Seems like your initial datastore was create in the root folder? And the new datastore will therefore be nested? That is not recommended (and newer versions of PBS will not allow this on datastore creation).

Move your pre-existing datastore to a subfolder (after setting the maintenance mode to offline and stopping the services via systemctl stop proxmox-backup proxmox-backup-proxy). Then restart the services with the same command but stop replaced with start and you should be able to create the new datastore on the new disk/mountpoint.
