Adding a drive

First of all,... you guys rock. You've blown the pants off of VMWare and VirtualBox!!

Could someone explain how I can add the new drive to this machine ?
( the drive has already been formatted, as ext 3, from a previous server ).
It doesn't need to be fdisk'ed or formatted or anything.

It shows up as /dev/sda (sda1)

I just can't seem to mount it no matter what I try.
