Added SMB Storage shows offline (not active). But it is mounted just fine and I can use it through the shell.

I'm having some trouble with adding SMB storage to pve. It worked fine at first. But after a couple of days it suddenly showed offline. So I removed it and readded it (through the GUI). But it stays offline (not "active").
Also dmesg outputs "failed to mount x" every 10 seconds. However, it seems mounted just fine. When I go to /mnt/pve/smbshare in the shell, I can see all the files. And when I do "touch test", I can see the test file appear on the server.

I tried umount /mnt/pve/smbshare. It unmounts the share (I can no longer see the files via the shell). And after a couple seconds it mounts it again automatically and I can see the files again and write to it. But dmesg still keeps spitting out "unable to mount X" every 10 seconds.

Any idea?

A weird thing that perhaps has something to do with it is that after entering the ip address, username and password for the smb server, a list of available shares is shown in the dropdown list. Lets call them:
- shareA
- shareB
- shareC

Selecting "shareB" didn't work. And also on my Windows laptop, it is not called "shareB" but "something shareB". After manually entering "something shareB" in field, it did work (also active in the GUI). At least for a couple days. This is still the case: If I just select "shareB" from the list, nothing gets mounted. If I edit it to "something shareB", it does mount and I can access it via the shell, but now, as opposed to the first couple of days, it still shows "offline" in pve gui.

Thanks for any help!
