New to Proxmox and trying to add a USB drive to a VM.
Steps I have taken to add the USB drive are:

1) Datacenter | Resource Mappings Tab | USB Devices
Add Button
Use USB Vendor/Device ID
Create Button

2) Select VM | Hardware Tab
Add Button
USB Device
Mapped USB Device
Add Button

3) The USB device is displayed in the VM's Hardware List

However, when I login the the VM in a terminal, lsblk is not showing the usb drive.

What am I missing?

Thanks for the information Dunuin.
I only interested in connecting a USB ta a VM temporarily.
Is there a current issue with v8.2.2 that prevents this feature from showing the USB drive with lsblk?
