Add new SSD into Proxmox server

Hi guys,
May I ask if you add an SSD to the Server, will Proxmox automatically accept that SSD as a storage drive? If not, how to add that SSD to the existing local-lvm partition or create a separate partition? And does Proxmox automatically save the VM to the new SSD if the old SSD is full?
I'm new to Proxmox so I still have questions

no, you need to enable storage on that drive first.

just as you would on any linux box.
for creating a separate partition (and storage) you can go to Node > Disks, where you can wipe or set up different sort of storages on it.

And does Proxmox automatically save the VM to the new SSD if the old SSD is full?

that depends on the type of storage you use, but generally no -- some storages which have pooling support this (zfs, ceph, and so forth) [0]
