Add more OSD's to CEPH setup

Hi

We have a 3 node Proxmox cluster with CEPH services directly running on the 3 Proxmox nodes.
Each node has 7 harddisk's/OSDs and a SSD for the journal.
Now i want add more harddisk's and use them as OSD's.
How can i add the new OSD's? How to integrate the OSD's to an existing pool?

Hi,
I think it is described here http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Ceph_Server - you can use GUI or CLI to add new drives. They will be assigned to the default pool automatically.

One thing i don't understand is how to adjust the pg_num on the existing pool to the new situation with more osd's.

If the current number does not fit to your future needs, you can find very nice description of determining and increasing this value here http://ceph.com/docs/master/rados/operations/placement-groups/ . You need to incrase pg_num as well as pgp_num
