Hi,

I am trying to add CIFS storage to 3 node cluster (PVE 5.2).
CIFS storage is Windows server 2008 R2.

Getting following error:

create storage failed: error with cfs lock 'file-storage_cfg': mount error: Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) (500)

I have tried pvesm from CLI with option --smbversion 2, and still getting same error.

mount -t cifs works without problem on local node.

Any idea what is causing this error message ?

Hi,

try with --smbversion 2.1
