I'm trying to setup the latest proxmox 2.x series to authenticate users against a Active directory server. everytime I try to login as a test user I get this error in the syslogJan 6 21:38:40 billylee pvedaemon[766464]: authentication failure; rhost=192.168.2.114 user=teacher1@DRACHEN-TEST msg=no such user ('teacher1@DRACHEN-TEST')Jan 6 21:45:16 billylee pvedaemon[766464]: authentication failure; rhost=192.168.2.114 user=teacher1@DRACHEN-TEST msg=no such user ('teacher1@DRACHEN-TEST')This is a user I know exsists on the AD server and have used to login to test windows machines, inside of proxmox at that, does anyone have any suggestions ohow I can solve this issue?Cheers

Hi, LordDrachenblut

i hope you solved your issue, anyway i had the same syslog "error" until i BEFORE created a <user>@<realm> in PVE web interface, as root.

done that, you can log in.

<user>@<realm> has no permissins, by default: just assign permissions to that <user>@<realm> as needed (as root or enough privileged user)
