Hello,

I am new to Proxmox and all things around. I just installed couple systems, Linux based and learning a bit about Linux. But now I installed Windows 10 and I would like to connect to it from local lan but also from internet if needed. Is that even possible? To connect to that one VM with Windows 10? Thank you.

I do not understand where to write those lines tbh. I read it many times but not sure where. My server console? That Windows 11 somewhere? Proxmox?
As I mentioned, this is new to me.

you set up the networking on your PVE host. the file you need to edit would be /etc/network/interfaces.

in your VM you just need to enable RDP. after the port is forwarded you can access the RDP from outside using the forwarded port.

Before I reply, I must say that I sorted it out by installing W11 again but I tried to do personal account and then it could be connected through RDP as normal. Not sure why it did not work on previous school/work installation or did not accept my password for RDP...or if PIN was preventing it, not sure.

So in the end it was not that difficult as you mentioned, even tho I looked into it. Thanks.
