Hi folks,

I’ve an issue.
I have a PCI express network interface card, which I used so far to access the webinterface of proxmox and all containers.
Now I want to remove the pcie card and want to use the onboard nic.
From me knowledge I have to change the /etc/network/interface bridge port and restart in order to use the onboard. Correct?
The enp1s0 is the pcie and the enp0s31f6 the onboard.
(I do not change the IP!)

The current situation is that proxmox starts and the LXC and VM.
LXC and VM can be reached from other systems in the network, but I can NOT access the Webinterface of Proxmox under the well known url https://192.168.1.4:8006

Do I have to change anything else in order to access the proxmox interface? The network works in general since all container and VM are available on the network

You have to edit your /etc/network/interfaces after removing the PCIe NIC via BMC or physical keyboard+display as removing PCIe devices maybe will rename your onboard NIC so the interface names won't match if you edit the config file before removing that NIC.

Ok. So remove, reboot and edit the interfaces (after checking the name)
I’ll try that thanks!

Edit: remove card, check with ip address the interface name, edit the interfaces according and restart does not change the behavior.
Proxmox interface not accessible
LXC and VM are accessible
