In PM 4, when I created a user to have access to console and other things for his VMs , that user always has had more info than needed. As described here in 2016: https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1222 .

Is it still the same in PM 5.*?
Or is now a way to give user access to his VMs and nothing else?

Seems like this basic feature needed for public clouds is still missing?

what you can do is implement your own basic user interface which makes use of the api, there you can hide/show whatever you want

Thank you for your answer.

I am aware of that and other possibilities. I was looking for a solution that would not require me to change or write some code.
Cloudstack which we still use and a few other solutions have this since I can remember.
