a thinking problem

hello

i download the iso image and burn it to a cd. than i install on a single maschine.

This is ok and i understand but i have an second server (fileserver) where i store my data with samba.

Can i configure the incoming/outgoing email only in the gateway or must i install on the fileserver an emailserver or what?

Proxmox Mailgateway is a mail proxy, not a mail server. So you need own mail server on a separate mashine.
