Suggestion to add a couple of options to the GUI when adding a backup job in 'Selection mode'.

Add the following options:
All running machines
All stopped machines

And maybe these:
All VMs
All LXC

When there are 100 or more virtual machines on a host, this would be more convenient than selecting the required 50 virtual machines individually.

In the meantime, you can, relatively easily, do this via CLI/API.

While several Proxmox staff members do regularly use this forum (thank you for that!), that one is considered to be watched by the developers more attentive.

Hey,

you can already do this. If you click the small arrow next to the header of the status or type column you can add a filter to those. Effectively only showing entries for which it applies, then you can just select all. Not exactly what you have proposed, but pretty close in terms of outcome. (You could also combine your two proposals )
