I'm a newby homelab user and dived head first Proxmox VE 8.4 about 10 months ago. Hardware is a refurbished Dell Oplitplex 5060 thin client with RAM upgraded to 8+16 GB. Everything running smoothly right now (never change a running system?), but EOL for 8.4 is approaching.
I want to combine the installation with a migration to a larger SSD. The Thin client is still running the tiny 256 SATA GB SSD it was shipped with, and I have got a 2 TB M2 replacement.
Now what is the best approach to do this, considering I have done quite some configuration stuff on my current installation?
1) Try to clone the current disk to the new one and try to upgrade the existing 8.4 installation?
2) Start a fresh 9.1 install on the new disk and try to restore the config changes I made to 8.4?
3) Something else?
