Thanks fiona, for your response. Over the weekend I went through a lot of the similar issues on here and i realized i got the repos mixed up and possible a older kernel running. I upgraded kernel along the line but still could not upgrade. What i did -

1) I changed my repos to buster (no bullseye no ceph) the ran apt update and apt dist-upgrade which took me to 6.4-15 (i think) with EOL warning so i had to go to 7. pve6to7 became avail with all good to go result.

2) Switched to bullseye repos with no ceph and i got the pve-apt-hook warning. Once i added ceph bullseye in repo and ran apt update and apt --full-upgrade it went through a kind of reinstall of the packages with lots of responses along the way.

Am now on 7.2-11, this is great because i could not install 7.2 via ISO on my server it kept failing only 6.4 worked.
