4.4 local (backup) cant backup due to low storage

server has 9.6TB but shows on local-lvm and not local where the backups needs to be


please advise

When you would like to use PVE as backupserver, you must destroy the default storage and add your preferred filesystemtype. Bestway for backupstorge use ZFS directly from the installer. But becareful, ZFS need more memory and no hardwareraid. 16GB+

Hello @fireon thank you, i have try that option but when to select content doesnt allow me to select backup

You must delete the storage and create new partition. Not on web, on cmd. Delte LVM-Thin and parttions. Then create new with cfdisk, or gparted.

quick fix, i created an vm with windows 2012 and installed NFS ... on proxmox server i had one of the usb's pointed to vm of windows and connected an external storage.

I added storage NFS for backups, done works

That's not really recommended. It's better do it the real way... most probably you will running in some errors with this weird config.
