Hi Guys,

I have a HP Server that I use Proxmox on. I used to be on version 1.9 which I got on really well with and managed to do things with no problem. Now I have upgraded to 2.1 and I am getting used to it slowly but I am having an issue with something.

I have one RAID set of harddrives with the Proxmox OS on and I have a Second RAID set where I store the VM's. Now in Proxmox 1.9 I had this all working and added them quite easily. But in 2.1 I am struggling... I go to the Storage part and click add. Do I click Add a Directory or is it an LVM Group?

I am really not sure what I am doing unfortunatly. I tried to read some of the help from the Docs on the site but that said to do it from the console and I am not sure what I am doing at all.

Any help would be appreciated this is the only part I don't know how to do!

Thanks

Hello, you really should read about LVM and FS in Linux. In simple words you should create LVM on your second RAID and add it in Proxmox, OR create FS (like ext3) on the RAID, mount it and add to Proxmox. LVM more preferable because it allows you to create snapshots.
