Hi,
I am wondering what is the best way to achieve a 2 node HA storage server with proxmox without ceph.

I have already a ceph storage cluster just for storage and a "compute" cluster that holds the LXC/VM just the containers, works well.

Now I need a lot more storage and I thought about creating a new storage cluster for not enterprise grade HDD/SSD. So ceph is not a option here because it is much too slow.
I need kind of HA (mostly static data at that storage) that it is possible to switch a server off and it manages itself to resync after it is back online.

So there is Storage Server A and B, if A is online everything is taken from A and synced to B.
If A is offline everything is taken from B. After A comes up again B gets synced to A and everything is switched.

- zsync is not able to do it from my understanding because I run no containers at the storage cluster
- zrep does it just manually as far I can see
- glusterfs is terrible slow and EOL
- pacemaker + zfs would be option ?

other ideas ?
