I haven't run into this before but it certainly has bit me in this weekend. I have a system where two Network cards are present. This has been fine for some time. One card loops to a straight external device (Storage over 2.5Gbe) the other is to our network. Recently, moving the card to storage straight to the VM which uses it (only one VM uses that storage device, so passing it through) the ProxMox cannot be pinged, reached, etc.
I can likely pull this up through local login on the screen itself, but I need to be able to reset the adapters and "void out" the passthrough in VM100 if that is the issue.
Would installing a third network card and connecting it to the LAN allow access if ProxMox sees it? That is the first idea I'm assuming. I'm just trying to walk through steps here; as we have significant data in a VM ...
