I have a cloud server, a vSwitch & a dedicated server at Hetzner.
These are connected as follows:
I can ping 10.0.0.2 from the Proxmox host. From the guest machines too.
The guest machines should use the PfSense (cloud server) as a gateway to the Internet and for routing.
I can ping...
I have finished setting up two dedicated servers with Proxmox 7 (Debian Bullseye 11) on Hetzner. Both hosts, once in a cluster, are expected to have two type of VMs:
1. Those with a private IP address and an additional public IP address (e.g. web server).
2. Those with just a...
Hello, Dear Community
I want to couple two VMs Proxmox within one robot account on Hetzner.
I have created vSwitch, then on both Proxmox added to /etc/network/interfaces
iface X.4000 inet manual
iface vmbr4000 inet manual
I have two dedi's at Hetzner, on each Proxmox.
One VM runs on each Proxmox node (Debian 10)
The VMs can ping each of the following:
- the own host node
- the other host node
BUT they cannot ping the other VM on the other host node.
(Destination Host Unreachable)...
I have 3 server PX62 configured with:
- 2 LAN nic (I use them only for local traffic, no internet: for storage network and corosync/proxmox cluster)
- 1 WAN nic for internet access with a static IP (on each server)
I create a new vSwitch, bonded to the 3 servers and purchase a /27 IP's...
Because I couldn't find a proper tutorial about setting up Proxmox + Hetzner's vSwitch and Hetzner refuses to offer assistance for this matter, I decided to create a tutorial by myself. You can find it here: How to setup Proxmox with Hetzner vSwitch and Public IP. I hope this will be...
I have 3 servers with Proxmox installed and a virtual switch with a public subnet.
How can I properly configure this public network for our VDS?
Bellow my network config
iface lo inet loopback
iface lo inet6 loopback
I have recently set-up a Proxmox VE cluster with 2 HPE DL380e Gen. 8.
I’m now looking at the best way to have a segmented virtual network that could span the cluster nodes, so to ensure VMs on the same LAN can communicate to each other regardless of the host where they reside.
I'm somewhat accustomed to how things are done in XenServer with regards to having multiple network interface cards. For example, I can see each one and name them while also seeing their MAC addresses all in a unified interface, as well as configuring virtual switches. Here's an example...
I recently setup a three node cluster and I have this weird issue where the shutdown of a VM or CT changes the MTU of the bridge that is used for communication between VM/CTs and also for the cluster link. The MTU is changed to whatever is configured at the primary...
