I am getting the following 'failed: storage 'backup' does not exist' error when trying to restore a vzdump from another server to my proxmox instance. Moved it from proxmox 6 to 7.

So I just backed up my Proxmox VM's and got rid of proxmox since I want to use this machine for QEmu instead. The problem is QEmu don't support VMA so how can I convert VMA to QEmu without Promox?
Hi!
I have a PBS system (latest v2.1-1 with kernel 5.13.19-4-pve) running with ZFS raidz2 on a ProLiant DL380 Gen9 server (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v4 @ 2.10GHz, 1 socket with 8 cores + 2 threads per core AKA 16 CPUs).
The system also has pve-qemu-kvm v6.1.1-1 installed (from...
After backing up a VM what I do is to 'extract' the VMA file to a directory that is then backed up by restic. (This makes deduplication possible with restic). The original VMA is deleted at the end. All this is done automatically with scripts.
What I get in the directory is something like this...

I'm working on something and was wondering if vma extract output can be piped. Right now I'm looking at piping to rsync (that could change later).
Thanks.

I have a VM backup that I want to restore, a .vma.lzo file. This file is huge because of an out-of-control process.
Can I delete a dir from inside a .vma file and then restore the VM?
Restoring the entire VM with all the unneeded data inside would take up way too much time.
Hello gentlemen, we have such a problem. Proxmox VE 5-4-5 It turned out that when the size of the hard disk was changed by one of the VMs, they made a mistake or a glitch happened and it turned out they made 50TB for the 50GB place. Proxmox successfully made a backup of this virtual machine, but...
Hey there,
I've setup proxmox with 3 different storages:
local-lvm, ssd based
nfs-storage, which is a remote nfs server
nfs-backup, which is also a remote nfs server
I want to create a VM with one disk on local-lvm and one disk on nfs-storage. I can backup a machine like this just fine, but...
