segmentation error

Not sure if anyone has covered this, if they have, send me the link, however, trying to install proxmox on an inexpensive mini computer and it just ends at segmentation fault. It used to have windows, installed Debian and it loaded fine after I deleted some partitions etc. What causes the error...
