Dear Community,
On my lab servers, I decided to rename one node, which had already running VMs. I followed the instructions given in the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NzLYKRVRtk and managed to perform the renaming without any problem.
However, I have some issues with existing...
I have a 4-node cluster in my homelab.
I want to rename two nodes, and also delete a third node (originally created for quorum purposes only).
What is the best way to proceed?
I could migrate all VMs and CTs to the one node that won't be renamed, remove all the others, rename two of the nodes...
I tried to rename two of my nodes in my lab, and as I expected bricked the cluster configuration.
Then I removed the cluster configs and created a new one, unfortunately I can't join to it..... what could be the reason for that?

Do not blindly follow my work, especially in production. There are no warranties I can provide and these are not Proxmox supplied instructions.
A host was renamed recently. The steps on the wiki indicate to rename some files /etc/hosts /etc/hostsname...
Hi all,
I've installed a new node to a 5 node cluster (pve 4.4). After I've configured everything I need (incl. ceph) I recognised that I've messed up the hostname of the new node.
My question: Is there a reliable way to change the hostname of my new node without reinstalling everything?
