remove unused disc

Hi, i have a admin user with administrator privileges. if i delete a hdd of a vm it works but if i would remove unused disc as admin user, a error message comes, only root can remove unused disc? how can i fix it well i would remove it with my admin user and wouldn´t login everytime with root...
