with kernel 5.15.35 kvm64 migration fails with particular host cpus:
Any online migration performed from:
- an Intel Gold (6130) or
- Intel Silver (4110) CPU
to any:
- Intel Xeon E5 (1650,2660,2643) fails with Kernel panic
stopping the machine and make a cold move is always working...

hatte schonmal jemand das gleiche Problem einer schlechten Desktop performance in Windows, wenn man den CPU Type der VM auf "Host" setzt?
Die CPU ist ein Intel Xeon W-2245. Wenn ich die CPU der VM auf KVM64 setze, ist die Performance normal.
Possibly related to 100075, but with an Ubuntu guest OS.
I setup multiple Ubuntu 20.04.3 VMs on my new Proxmox system (see below) and had them on processor type "host" and a "virtio" net0.
All those VMs were causing a lot of network issues: probably dropped packets, but I simply saw DNS not...
There is one ms windows vm which behaves quite peculiar. Changing the CPU away from anything kvm64 (> host) results in an inability to boot. Even a reboot into safe mode use msconfig does not work as per usual.
Despite having configured a windows10 .iso to boot from the 'press any key to boot...
