ftp curlftpfs backup

Hello, I have a problem with backing up my containers to ftp sotrage provided by OVH. Since proxmox doesnt have an option to backup using ftp I just used curlftpfs and set the backup destination to its mountpoint. Sometimes everything works just fine and sometimes I'm stuck with gzip process...
