Hi good day.
We have a Proxmox system installed on a B560M DS3H V2 motherboard (Core i9-11900 11th gen, 64GB RAM). It have been working with no mistakes about a year, but since some months ago it started to randomly shutdown (sometimes it suddenly shutdown). We have clean reinstalled proxmox in...
I'm having a issues regarding the ram usage on our hypervisors. It seems there is ram going I don't know where.
The hypervisor has 70GB of usable total ram. The current arc usage is 9GB according to arc_summary. I've calculated the amount of ram used by each LXC containers on the host...
I cannot get my head around this, as I`m experiencing some very weird server IO delay and server crash. It seems I have this exact same issue .
The setup has ZFS + ZIL + L2ARC, however the RAM was getting used up to 100+ GB and the L2ARC was (and is set) to 150GB/read/write on the SSD...
Just installed fresh pve 6.0 on 2 servers, the 2 are identical :
pve-manager/6.0-2/865bbe32 (running kernel: 5.0.15-1-pve)
I installed with ZFS for root partition :
root@proxmox02:~# zpool list

I'm have a backup-job scheduled which will daily backup my system.
Sometimes while running the backup, the system will spawn one arc_reclaim and lots of arc_prune processes. All of these processes will eat up the CPU time and cause the VMs which are still running to run into (timeout)...
There seems to be a problem with one of our server where the arc_prune is stuck in D state. Sync from the initramfs-update never completes and wait on something which make me believe it's the arc_prune.
The server is a Dell R710 with 142GB ram and SSDs
I also have a bunch of errors...
I'm currently close to building my new Proxmox rig and since ZFS is a first time for me, I was wondering about the need for RAM in my setup.
I will run a 4x480GB SSD setup in RAID10 with ZFS. System memory is 64GB ECC RAM.
Now, I will run 3 VMs for a start, needing 24GB, 8GB and 8GB of...
