Intel I7 7700k, 5 vms, had lots of trouble initially after updating to 7.x. Could get it to crash almost consistently while running heavy IO load on FIO.
Updated to 5.11.22-6 yesterday, been running without any trouble so far. Can't get it to crash anymore with FIO either. So far so good on...
@t.lamprecht I'm on Intel as well and I'm successful in reproducing the panic with fio i/o test tool running on a vm, it crashes every time i run it with a high load, but the kernel panic doesn't print anything, it cuts of and the last line just shows a bunch of ^@^@^@.
I tried capturing a...
I put cache back to Default (no cache) and added ,aio=native to my disks, but still crashing with aio set to native unfortunately.
Whats the recommended method to catch the kerneldumps?
Seemingly fixed it for me as well changing cache too write back. Been running some I/O tests with FIO, could get it to crash almost every run with no cache. Still no crashes with write back enabled on the vms. I posted some of my server info in this thread if anyone wants to look at similarities...
Experiencing the same after upgrading to pve 7.0.9 today. Have had 2 crashes now in a short time. Previously been running without much trouble.
When it crashes I can not ssh, connect to the webgui, ping it or get any response.

So far I haven't had any major issues with it and I have a lot of family members using the transcode future (quicksync) with plex on a daily basis.
I'm currently only running the drm.debug module. That's the only problem I'm currently having with the gpu, but it hasn't caused any instability...
I seem to have solved it. Passing it through as a mediated device (gvt-g) instead of assigning the whole GPU seems to work way better.
It lead to some other problems with DRM and GPU getting a wedged error in the log. This seems to have been fixed in kernel 5.5, so I updated the VM to that...
Proxmox VE 6.2-4, SMP PVE 5.4.41-1
I've passed through my Intel HD Graphics 630 to a vm running Ubuntu 18.04.2 (5.3.0-51-generic)
I use the quicksync feature on the iGD for plex transcoding. At first it seemed to be working as it should, but a friend mentioned he was having some trouble with...
