I got the same issue under new PVE 7.2 environment. Worked fine for my old setup which was installed two years ago.
Is there a way to allow Debian to use the folder /usr/local during installation?
Or is there another way to convert the .rpm to .deb?

Yes, I always do the latest upgrades but i havent rebootet the host for a few months.
Meanwhile i think there were 2 or 3 kernel-updates installed so this was the first reboot with a new kernel

i'm having trouble getting a Intel Quad Port NIC working properly on PVE 5.3.18-2.
I read that it should be supported by the kernel for a long time but the NIC is not available in proxmox webinterface under networking although it is detected properly.
