Nvidia PCIE Passthrough on Ubuntu VM returning "Unable to determine the device handle for GPU 0000:01:00.0: Unknown Error"

Weird, I hadn't been running passthrough in 12+ months and I tried to again and was having issues until I ran this command. I guess the VM's kernel got updated. Thanks. Nvidia 2070S

VM Start Timeout with PCI GPU

Still an issue for me as well. Had to do `qm stop VMID` then tomcat's nifty bash version of showcmd. Is there a bug filed for this somewhere?

    Ubuntu Desktop VM stuck

Having the same issue. Brand new machine, proxmox install, RAID 10 SSDs. Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop install successfully. Occurs with two brand new VM fresh installs. Confirming VMware compatible works.

Intel P3600 NVME SSD Passthrough - Poor Performance

Setting CPU to host definitely helped. Looks like the IOPS doubled. I tested on Ubuntu live and got within 5% of the results with hdparm as seen inside the VM. So in terms of max throughput it looks like a limitation of the hardware itself. Thanks for your help @wolfgang! fio --randrepeat=1...

Intel P3600 NVME SSD Passthrough - Poor Performance

I used these instructions. I will note that with the `direct` parameter I was able to achieve 1900 MB/sec but this is still shy for an enterprise drive I would think. This is the VM with 2 sockets and 24 cores/threads. # hdparm -Tt --direct /dev/nvme0n1 /dev/nvme0n1: Timing O_DIRECT...

Intel P3600 NVME SSD Passthrough - Poor Performance

I am passing through an Intel P3600 1.6TB NVME SSD to a fresh install of Ubuntu 19.10 VM. Using Q35 Machine code, 44 cores, 48GB of RAM and the performance is terrible, maxing out around 1000 MB/s but averaging 450 MB/s. It has been previously connected, through passthrough, on an Dell R710...
