Yes it will work, you can either do it in the boot params or just disable the C state in the bios.

I guess everyone here with the problems was running a Windows VM. I am running Windows Server 2019 with the latest updates. (Maybe windows virtualization uses a weird instruction which is unstable on the EX systems?) On linux vm I had no problems without disabling c state.
