Another one is locale. It’s always set as generic in LXC and this weirdly causes a lot of delays/lag in certain commands such as apt. If you’re running docker inside LXC (yes yes, I know it’s not recommended), this also fixes the problem of the docker service not starting automatically on LXC...
Thanks so much for this. I can confirm my Sonnet Solo 10G Thunderbolt 3 NIC works on my Intel NUC12 Pro after forcing it up with ip link set enp60s0 up as before it was just showing up as an interface, but it refused to go online and my switch was saying the link was down. All good now at 10G speed.
Exact same problem here.
Docker service in the LXC also never starts up on reboot despite being enabled. Running systemctl commands is painfully slow and there’s often strange pauses when running apt.
I've also just tested out using the serial console and that works great too when you've got the Intel Arc GPU set as primary, so at least you can get console output from the Proxmox UI.

I've been able to successfully passthrough an AsRock Arc A380 Challenger ITX GPU to Linux VMs running kernel 6.2 and higher.
However, you have to disable the kvm virtual GPU (set Display to 'none') and set the Arc GPU as 'Primary GPU' in your VM's Hardware settings, therefore you need to rely...
Thanks Stefan, that's really helpful.
So given that 5900X CCX layout for its 12 cores is 6+6, I'd be better off using host-cache-info=on if I was using 6c/12t topology in the VM.
If using 8c/16t topology in the VM, then use l3-cache=on - is that about right?
Based on the architectural info...
Hi, I'm approaching this from a Windows gaming VM point of view and while everything is working well, I'm attempting to do some further tuning to bring latency down as much as possible.
I'm a little more familiar with libvirt in this regard, but how would I implement the equivalent of passing...
Dummy plug would be the answer. I keep one plugged into my GPU since it eliminates all issues with blank screens and other oddities when I stream with Steam to my tablet or TV.
Also just a note, as of a week or two ago, you don't need these extra arguments anymore because NVIDIA now officially...
If there’s no drivers or kexts available for your Sound Blaster card for macOS, then it will definitely not work.
Usually it’s easier to deal with external USB audio interfaces when dealing with cross platform VMs, especially macOS.
I'm happy to report that GVT-g now works with Windows 10 guests again after the kernel update that was pushed through today.
Thanks so much to the Proxmox team :)
For what it's worth, I recently gave it a try with my GeForce GTX 1650 also passed through (KVM VGA set to 'none' since I used Windows Remote Desktop). As soon as I install the Intel graphics driver, I get a BSOD. Same thing happens without the NVIDIA GPU passed through.
I'm on the latest...
I've also been checking updates every day ;)
Really hope it's soon. In the interim I've been passing through an NVIDIA GPU to my Windows VM, but I'd really prefer to use Quick Sync via GVT-g for power savings.
