Ok, I guess there isn't much to compare then, will update this thread in a week or so whether disabling iothread helped. Interestingly enough I couldn't trigger the issue reliably here :/
Hi Fiona,
thank you for your response. A few questions if you don't mind:
I assume I can solely set this in vzdump.conf or is that exposed in the UI somewhere? While I am on there, any other settings to change?
Yes I to 8.1.2-4 to be precise. Would the changes in 5/6 be relevant to that as...
I am having similar problems as @hepo. In our case it is also the backup causing the hang but only after the upgrade to PVE 8. For tests we switched to the following configuration:
* Run PBS directly on on node (let's call it node 3) with a SSD raid 1 mirror (for those tests while waiting for...
Hi there, I will try my best to describe the issue and maybe it is not even a proxmox bug, but I am not sure where to start. I have reduced our problem to the following: We have a vmbr0 to has a bond2 as member and bonds two interfaces from an Intel 10Gigabit X550T network card. The bond members...
Hi,
I am trying to use the offline mirror to mirror the enterprise repo. My systems are not exactly airgapped so I do not need offline subscription keys, I mainly want the mirror to control how the different clusters get updates (ie create a snaphost, update the test cluster to it and then...
Ah right, so I guess all I am really after is a confirmation dialog for "Apply" since it is a really disruptive action :) Thanks for your work on SDN so far, it really works great.
I thought about this a bit more. If "Apply" behaved like "Bulk Migrate" in the sense that it presented a list of nodes to apply on, we'd "implicitly" get confirmation and also get the "per host apply" in one fix :)
Oh I didn't know that ethX.Y can only be on one bridge. So the following will not work (ascii art works with monospace or viewed in the forum)?
eth0 -> eth0.2 |-> vmbr1
|-> vmbr2
but this (like SDN does it) would?
eth0 -> vmbr0 -> vmbr0.102 |-> (zone 1) -> vlan1...
Hi, this is what I figured and I agree it makes sense. For us though it is one extra "hop" since we name all network devices consistently over the hosts so we could bind directly to eth0/bond0 (or whatever). Would you be open to relax the validation and maybe just caution users in the tooltip or...
We are currently considering reworking our existing setup to a simple SDN setup. I noticed that a VLAN Zone requires a bridge as underlying device. What is the reason for this? Wouldn't a bond or any normal interface do as well -- after all the created VNETs are bridges on their own again. I am...
Hi there,
we do sync Users via AD and have configured webauthn token (yubikeys). This used to work till a week ago so, but it seems with one of the latest updates it no longer asks for the registered token. How can I debug this and which package changelog could I look at to find a possible...
Since Tuxis upgraded the errors are gone! I have one new error:
proxmox-backup-client failed: Error: error trying to connect: error connecting to https://pbs003.tuxis.nl:8007/ - tcp connect error: deadline has elapsed
but it only showed up once. Great work so far, thanks!
I just looked at my syslog and starting with Jul 17th I no longer see those issues on any of my boxes. No idea if @tuxis changed something at mid night or if my "jobs" magically no longer run in sync with the scheduler and as such don't hit the times where it blocks.
