change network card to VirlIO. You can install driver from virtio-win-0.1.141.iso .

you can try set the disk discard option and use fstrim in guest. for thin-provisioned the disk.

backup and migration are for guest and include all disk . it not only for a disk partition. so you can setup more disk partition. I am not good at English.

you can setup a small disk for install windows2016 , and a big disk for data.
