Possibly leaking memory (RAM) or is it a bug? What causes it?

That's exactly what I'm doing right now. Trying to switch memory size and set it to fixed size and wait to see what will happen. I know linux likes to cache into ram. It is just strange that when I got to the point on the host using 25GB of ram but vm is using only 3.5GB of ram... Maybe I just...

Possibly leaking memory (RAM) or is it a bug? What causes it?

Nope. Not using zfs. zpool status command not found. Any idea what is happening? I just checked the ram on the host and it increased from 10GB to 14GB within few hours. I ran free -m on the host and guests... My math is not adding up why host is using 14GB. ********* HOST...

I don't think I'm using zfs? Is there a way to check it?

Possibly leaking memory (RAM) or is it a bug? What causes it?

Here is what I got. Host server with 96GB ram. Installed Proxmox 4 on it and created 1 VM (CentOS 7) with allotted 65GB ram and 1 LXC (MySQL tempalte) with 1GB allotted ram. From control panel it shows that CentOS 7 vm is using 3.5GB ram and LXC is using 77MB or ram. When I logged in to control...

Multiple IPs on one NIC with bridges

@JamesMio thanks for letting me know. I'm trying to figure out the same thing but without MAC addresses assigned to Public IPs. If you could post the working setup here that would be awesome. Also, are you CentOS 7 for any of VM by any chance?

@JamesMio Did you figure out the configuration? I have the same issue. Does your host provider allows multiple MAC addresses?

Backup Drive accessible from LXC and VM for RSYNC offsite

With regards to lxc - so I understand that is uses host's kernel. I have a few quick questions: • Does it mean that I will not be able to move lxc to another Proxmox that runs different kernel version? • What happens if user initiates kernel update inside lxc (can user even do that)? Will it...

Backup Drive accessible from LXC and VM for RSYNC offsite

First of all - great software. I'm getting into IT and learning Proxmox. I want to set-up a remote server running Proxmox and VM for CentoOS7 that will run a webserver. The server specs are Dual - Xeon E5, primary drive - 960GB SSD, 2nd drive - 2TB SATA, 96GB RAM. I want to install Proxmox on...
