Hello,
i am trying to get ceph up and running again after migrating proxmox v5 to v6 on 3 nodes.
After the upgrade the old lumious setup didn't work anymore due to 2 "ghost" monitors (mon.0 and mon.1).
I couldn't remove them and the GUI says "mon_command failed - command not known (500) ".
So...
Right now it happend again on our icecast VM.
This didn't solve it alone:
rmmod virtio_net
modprobe virtio_net
Had to restart the network. ens18 was missing. ifup didn't work (already configured):
/etc/init.d/networking restart
dmesg is showing some info:
syslog isn't helping:
I guess, you mean the following public link?
https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-qm.html#qm_network_device
Any tips for pinpointing a reproducing of the issue would be nice ;)
Right now the only hints are:
- heavy load
- both VMs are on the same host (of a 3 server cluster)
Hello,
we are facing similar issues with 2 heavy network loaded VMs after upgrading Proxmox 4.x to 5.0.
The first VM runs Debian 8 and Zen LB.
The second VM runs Debian 9 and Icecast 2.
Both VMs lost their network connectivity within the last 24 hours after the upgrade.
The VMs could not ping...
I guess, you are right again!
The symlinks exists:
vzdump -> /etc/pve/vzdump.cron
Scrolling down and searching the task grid in the web gui reveals the execution.
My fault ;(
So i've to check, my the reporting mail wasn't send or received.
And why i thought the content wasn't rising.
Sorry...
Ok! I guess, this was too obvious for me ... ;)
I started the command now on host2 and it is still running. So far so good.
But why is the cron not executed automatically?
And how can i debug this?
On host2 the vzdump.cron is identically. So it is correctly synchronised.
Hello,
i've 2 proxmox 4.3-9 cluster setups with 2 servers each.
Everything is working as expected.
Only the via web gui configured backups on the 2nd node are not executed on each cluster.
I could not pinpoint the problem yet.
The /etc/pve/vzdump.cron files look similar. Here is one example:
