Uploading VM from PVE to AWS

I have moved VMs to and from VMware/Hyper-V and Proxmox (kvm) without issue using just qemu-img to convert the disk images. First bootup is usually slow because the vm finds all new hardware and you may have to reactivate windows, but we haven't had any real problems doing it.

[SOLVED] Constant disconnects from proxmox nodes

I may have located the problem. It seems to be only traffic through the Sophos firewall. If i connect directly to the management LAN its fine I thought i'd tested that earlier when i was directly connected to that lan for initial setup, but now that I'm retesting, it seems ok directly...

[SOLVED] Constant disconnects from proxmox nodes

I'm having a weird issue where any connection to the proxmox nodes is disconnected every couple of minutes. If i for example, select a node, open up the console via the web gui, after a couple of minutes, it will disconnect and I will have to close the pop up window and reopen it. This also...

    Ceph networking question

Just a quick question on ceph setup: we're doing a small 5 node cluster, 2 of the nodes are for vms, the other 3 are for ceph, all are running proxmox as part of the same cluster. Each of the compute and ceph nodes has 2x 10Gb ports for the storage network. For such a small setup, would it be...

    DRBD Install Question

Just a quick question. I'm using the latest proxmox (4.1) from the website and I followed the guide for installing DRBD9 (https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/DRBD9) using the 2 server + 1 quorum provider method (so drbd on only 2 nodes). Things actually SEEM to work perfectly (ie, no issue with live...
