this happens on my complete cluster.. running the latest version of proxmox... even reboot and manually qm rescan or qm rescan --vmid 1234 does not help.. is there an issue in the community version ?
pve-manager/7.2-7/d0dd0e85 (running kernel: 5.15.39-3-pve)
i ran also into problems during this procedure and ending up in a "split brain" due to corosync was wrong configured because of my changes..
using this https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/made-mistake-in-corosync-conf-now-cannot-edit.77173/
i was able to make changes to the read_only...
Monitoring? was genau meinst du damit ?
1 x PBS :
HPE 360 GEN10 - 80 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6242R CPU @ 3.10GHz (2 Sockets) 396GB
Als Storage ZFS 10x Samsung 4tb nvme's
1 x Datenbankserver
HPE 360 GEN10 - 80 x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6242R CPU @ 3.10GHz (2 Sockets) 396GB
Mein...

because i checked the line frequently and found out, that single line connections like with wget a throttled in the evening hours and get back to fullspeed short after 00:00 am - every day... from up to 50mbyte/s they throttle it to 500kb-800kb/s
False alarm!
It's because of our network connection. We have a 1GigaBit line with Vodafone as a business customer. Unbelievably, they throttle the line down to 10mbit during the day. Shortly after midnight, everything works at full speed. Then you also get a good performance with the PBS as...
to clarify: i have 1 gigabit downstream and 50mbit Upstream on my home sync PBS site which produces slow speed.
the main backup-server server is connected with 10gigabit to the network 30-50ms ping time away
as i wrote.. sometimes i had even 40megabyte download speed. before it dropped on a...
i have also a very slow sync speed running Backup Server 1.0-6 on both ends.
network connection 1000mb down 50mb up
no matter if i use the connection over wireguard (as shown below) or over the direct network. The speed is very slow regardless of the connection.
very confusing for me was, that...
can you recomment me such drives? I Run HP-DL380Gen9 Servers. They have internally 1 SD Cards Slot and also USB3.0 Slots
i would like to boot from either SD or USB stick. But i am not sure which one would work best here.
I also could attache a USB SSD with cable somehow. but i would like to...
here my final script which seems to work well and keeps the old ID's intact
#!/usr/bin/env bash
ids=($1)
function migrate {
echo migrating OSD $1;
ID=$1
re='^[0-9]+$'
if ! [[ $ID =~ $re ]] ; then
echo "error: OSD Id is needed" >&2; exit 1

i would have already done this... if i would know how big those partitions should be.. .also can i put wal and the db on one partition or does it need a partition for each? thanks for clarifying this
can i use one extra partion for wal and db ? or do i have to use seperate partions (means 2 on...
