    The pool consists of two drives in a RAIDZ-1 mirrored set up with six other unused drives in the system to add later. This was what was installed on installation. Initially a zpool status listed drives by ID I noticed but after an update and reboot they were listed as sda and sdb I noticed. I...

    I've just been bitten by this having thought an upgrade on a new system would be a good idea. No special pool setups, just the rpool. Creating zpools now doesn't function and I've noticed that a zpool status lists devices by sdX rather than by-id.

    Hi, I'd like to know if it possible to specify the size of the root partition the installer uses in a ZFS configuration? For various reasons I would prefer this not to take up the whole size of the disk(s) and might use other partitions on the disk for a SLOG. Thanks,
