I've just been bitten by this having thought an upgrade on a new system would be a good idea. No special pool setups, just the rpool. Creating zpools now doesn't function and I've noticed that a zpool status lists devices by sdX rather than by-id.

I'd like to know if it possible to specify the size of the root partition the installer uses in a ZFS configuration? For various reasons I would prefer this not to take up the whole size of the disk(s) and might use other partitions on the disk for a SLOG.
