I'm having the exact same issue. I too did use the UPDATES tab, the VNC window just disappeared. Now have no access to web interface. I can ssh in and the output of pveversion -v is pretty much the sam as the op. proxmox-ve-2.6.32: not correctly installed (running kernel: 2.6.32-34-pve)...
