Thanks for the explanation.
I would strongly prefer not having to reboot the nodes as I have live services running on those.
I have tried pvecm expected 1 to reduce the quorom but /etc/pve is still read-only after that command.
I suspect a network problem between my nodes. Unicast seems to...
Apparetly not on node3. Do you have to make it run before joining the cluster?
Anyway it doesn't explain why my /etc/pve is read only on node1. Any idea about that ?
Here is my setup:
I have 2 nodes (let's call them node1 and node2) on ip addresses 10.19.82.1 and 10.19.82.2. It used to work nicely.
I now want to add a third node (with ip address 10.19.82.3) but it fails :
root@node3:~# pvecm add 10.19.82.1
unable to copy ssh ID
root@node3:~#...
Yes the 2 servers are located on 2 different data centers / network.
I had finally rebooted my server to get things back to normal :(
Thanks everybody for your help
Yes i have 2 nodes.
Even after changing the expected quorum I can't remove the node.
I also tried to restart services :
# service cman restart
Stopping cluster:
Stopping dlm_controld...
[FAILED]
I think I'm good for a server reboot...
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately I can't remove the node because the cluster is kind of broken :
# pvecm delnode server2
cluster not ready - no quorum?
Maybe I can try to re-assign the server its old IP, delete the node, change IP again and re-add the node.
Yes I am using OpenVPN with bridging/tap.
Actually the 10.0.0.11 address is the address the server got when it first booted. Later I updated OpenVPN to give it a fixed IP (not from the dynamic pool) which is 10.0.0.2. But now my cluster is broken, probably because of that.
So is there any way...
I had set up a VPN between 2 servers to make a cluster. pvecm status says:
Version: 6.2.0
Config Version: 8
Cluster Name: ponytech
Cluster Id: 28530
Cluster Member: Yes
Cluster Generation: 4784
Membership state: Cluster-Member
Nodes: 2
Expected votes: 2
Total votes: 2
Node votes: 1
Quorum: 2...
Hello,
I recently installed a conatainer baser on the ubuntu-12.04-standard_12.04-1_i386 template.
I was surprised to find pre-installed packages such as apache2 (and configured to start at boot), bind9 and samba.
What if I want to use nginx / lighttpdd / ... ? What if the server is not...
