but i see the device as /dev/sdc and can format and use it, but not with pve

i have installed a clean debian lenny with all updates and then: pve-headers-2.6.32-1-pve proxmox-ve-2.6.32_1.5-2_all.deb pve-manager pve-qemu-kvm open-iscsi but when i clicked on storage -> an then select the iscsi i see no entries under volume-id what have i done wrong?
