Since you're running 2.1.1 it's not a direct upgrade to 3.0 but also not complex or difficult. You'll first make a apt-get dist-upgrade from 2.1.1 to 2.3, then check your progress. Reboot into 2.3 and run the 2.3 -> 3.0 script. An extra step but simple all-the-same. Spelled out here -> Proxmox...
