Hi,
I have just setup an FTP backup with Curlftpfs as above!
And I am facing the exact same issue..
This is all i have found regarding a simmilar setup so far!
and i was wondering, have anyone found a way to fix this, that does NOT include using local storage first and moving them afterwards...
Alright.....
Im gonna stop posting here now..
It just stopped booting, and then for no apparent reason booted up again after a few tries..
Im at a loss to why, and it's possibly just because running win8 32bit is EXTREMELY BUGGY!
Kindly
Niels
I just got it to boot the VM!
I found a workaround for the:
0x0000005D Error!
In the config:
/etc/pve/qemu-server/VMID.conf
i just added:
"args +nx" without the quotes
To Enable no execute bit, beware, changing any settings in the VM in proxmox will overwrite the .conf and you need to add it...
Sorry guys.. might have been a little quick there!
After install the VM reboots, and i get the errors again, very buggy... haven't had a single successful boot so far :(
Hi,
I ran into this isue aswell :(
I was just playing around with the settings, and the following seems to be working with the 32 Bit windows8 iso!!
Hardware:
CPU: 2 (1 sockets, 2 cores) [core2duo]
Options:
KVM hardware virtualization = no
All the rest is just defaults!
but i got the...
Hi Smanux,
It has not, i tried it yesterday with the same issue. Server never returns with ping, so networking is still dead, must still be an issue with the e1000 nic
Hi,
I have tried both kernels on my OVH server with e1000 network card
and both still fail! server never pings.
So I booted back into -12 and this works okay...
Does anyone know the status of this issue?
Kindly
Niels
Well installing the older kernel is not that tricky on a running system!
apt-get install pve-kernel-2.6.32-12-pve
apt-get install pve-headers-2.6.32-12-pve
and then make sure it is the right kernel in /boot/grub/grub.cfg that it will be booting!
If you upgraded and it has removed the old...
Hi debianfan,
Did yours remove the old kernel?
if not, and you have software raid, follow the steps in my earlier post in this thread, that explains how to use rescue mode to switch back.
I have created a VM with the proxmox iso to do some tests
but every time i press "shutdown" i get the following error:
TASK ERROR: VM quit/powerdown failed - got timeout
i have tried to destroy and recreate it and still same error.
Edit: Thank-you Tom :)
Kindly
Niels
Hi Itanium and hk!
Mine did not remove the old kernel..
1. I rebooted the server via the manager to the OVH rescue mode pro
2. Then i mounted the boot partition (if you have it as a partition that is):
mkdir /mnt/boot
mount /dev/md1 /mnt/boot
umount /dev/md1 /mnt/boot
If in doubt which...
Hi,
Love the work you guys do, used proxmox for years and love it!
I just made an update on my OVH server with latest proxmox (I check daily) and the stuff you guys just released works fine so far exept after a reboot the server did not come back up (no ping), as I do not have KVM I really...
Hi,

Is there anyone who has have implemented this successfully in proxmox 2.x ??
Hi :)
