Hello,
Fedora >= 15 doesn't work with the current Openvz version in Proxmox. I tested with Fedora 16 container template from the Openvz-Page.
The problem is that Fedora >=15 uses "systemd" instead of "init" or "upstart" which is not implemented in the Openvz version of Proxmox.
But there...
In the Readme.pdf of Virtuozzo 4.7 I found the answer: Running NFSv4 servers in Containers is not supported.
This is a known limitation but very annoying. Virtuozzo is commercial and unable to serve as a fileserver with NFSv4 and v4 isn't very new. I don't understand it.
As Openvz is the...
Hello,
I tried to get NFSv4 server running in an openvz container but it doesn't work.
I enabled all NFS-features for the openvz container:
FEATURES="sysfs:on nfs:on nfsd:on "
What works is NFSv3 server in openvz and mounting v3- and v4-shares but that's not what I need.
I need NFSv4 server...
Hm, I'm very new to openvz but I can't see this problem.
I did some tests for you with my vm101 created as described above.
I have the directory /vz-containers where I mount each lvm2 volumen which contains an openvz container.
For the tests I mounted container 101 via soft-link with "ln -s...
I don't mean lvm2 in an OpenVZ, I mean OpenVZ in an lvm2 volume!
That's easy doing:
* create an lvm for every OpenVZ container as usual with "lvcreate ..."
* format it i.e. "mkfs.ext4 <lvm-volume>"
* mount each formated volume in /var/lib/vz/private/<id>
That's all.
Hi,
is it possible to have OpenVZ containers on LVM2 volumes or to have each container in its own volume? - I couldn't find any possibility in the webfrontend to do it.
By hand it's possible.
Thx
Andreas
Ok, I understand the idea.
But it should also be possible to avoid split-brain using redundant heartbeat-connections or not?
3 hosts is very expensive if I only need 2 hosts. Is it also possible to build HA-clustering in Proxmox if I use redundant heartbeat?
Hello,
I'm sorry for the question. But why do I need at least 3 nodes for a HA cluster? This is stated in:
http://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/High_Availability_Cluster#System_requirements
In my opinion 2 nodes should be enough for active failover situations or am I wrong? I'm newby concerning...
