Hotmail is very restrictive on accepting email from "bad sources" (interestingly O365 not so much..); Especially you are affected if you are using a rented server from one of the bigger providers, the likeyhood that their whole or significant parts of their network is on hotmails blacklist is...
We run PMG as a container on Promox 8.
After the update to PMG 8 the local DNS resolution was broken, the local dns server installed was "gone". (all resolves failed).
Manually re-installing unbound kicked me out of the local console...

Thank your for the guidance, and confirming my suspicion that i have entered the domains in a wrong format.
Much appreciated !
Feedback:
I think the documentation is misleading or..not precise enough in this case. Adding a simple example what the function does may help many people.

anyone got an idea why the global domain blacklist is not working ?
User based blacklists do work, but the global fails, like it doesnt even get read.
I dont seem to be the only one having trouble with the GBL.
https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/better-way-to-block-sender-domain.117391/
unfortunately it doesnt fully work, mails are still getting through, example below
Oct 26 20:33:44 mx01 postfix/smtpd[4555]: connect from heute3.ausverkauf-aktuell.de[185.46.185.78]
Oct 26 20:33:44 mx01 postfix/smtpd[4555]: Anonymous TLS connection established from...
after testing around i may have found the cause.
I now edited the blacklist for to "in & out" (was only "in" before) and mails are getting rejected. (my definition of OUT is different though, or something is bugged with only the "IN" setting...
Hi,
i have added serveral spammer domains to the global blacklist (and also added it to the user blacklist on the spam report), but the mails from the below domains are still being accepted and delivered; there are no changes in the emails itself (e.g. variation of sender adresses etc.).

Gotcha. "Logical used" is 43GB. but.... Anyhow, its somewhat correct and on the other side its not due to compression ;-).
Maybe need to display both values somehow. Size of Backup, and uncompressed size or so..

Being unable to delete a backup results in a error / unsuccessful backup message within PVE.
the Backup itself seems to be ok though.
I had to change permissions to get rid of this as a workaround.
I did some initial backups and found some strange display (?) issues.
- The CT has a max. disk size of 25GB
- The normal vzdump gzip size is ~9GB.
The displayed VZDUMP size with the Proxmox Backup is … 43GiB! (format pbs-ct). Both shown @ at the PVE Hosts as well as on the backup server (also...
Now with Buster released, is there any update to this how to properly handle Buster based LXC containers on Proxmox ? I do feel a bit uncomfortable to activate the nesting setting. Am i paranoid ?
hmm, i do have 2 LXC containers running OpenVPN on my affected host. My other Proxmox servers are stable (nested and HW).
So maybe its something with the VPN ?
BTW: I upgraded to 4.15. line 2 days, lets see.
I - and some others in this forum - also suffer from random reboots /restarts / crashes.
Maybe post if you are using ZFS, what CPU is in your host (meltdown..), RAM, etc.
Im using Proxmox inside a KVM, but thats nothing new, i have been running it nested on Parallels, KVM and Hyper-V for years, self hosted and and even hosted within OVHs public cloud (mostly container based ofc).
My CPU:Xeon E5-2680V4
Network: Virtio (could change this) to e1000 or RTL..

im still experiencing many "reboots" (crashes) on my kvm-machine - even when the server is idling.
As i have seen many similar topics in this forum (unintended reboots) in the last couple of days there could be a broader issue.
I see that there was a new kernel released earlier today, will...
Im witnessing a lot of crashes recently on my primary LXC host too but what it seems to be fully random after phases of high IO load (e.g. vzdump). I do get almost daily crash-reboots (freeze) without any indication of the error, just everything stops and a few minutes later => Reboot (like in...
