I tested some more things now and the host that produces the IO all VMs get freeze. FOr example I started a Restore from Backup on node1 than all VMs on node 1 got performance issues or small freezes. The vms on the other hosts are fine. Are there any seetings to prevent proxmox from giving all...
I had similar problems with a Windows 2016 migrated from XEN because of some registry entries. Depending on the Hypervisor it has used before this can be a problem.
Here is a thread (with legacy boot but maybe it helps)...
hmm can you post some screenshots of

Which Windows OS is running ?
Have you installed the latest driver iso because I gt some issues with some version of the driver iso and maybe this is a prolem with the latest version.

Hello,
one of our server crashed and now he cant boot anymore:
The import is running now for 30 minutes. But nothing happens.
The pool is on a M2 Disk the disk itself is online in the iDrac.
Has anyone a fix idear ?
Greetings

Its not fixed I would say because when I copy big data all vms seems to be super slow or frozen. Thats a problem when every copy get the full performance and all other stuff dies. In the past proxmox was able to split the traffix so no process got everything I think.
So in my tests HDDs without SSD Cache is not fast enough and Ceph normally requires at least 3 Hosts with 3 Disks:
https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Deploy_Hyper-Converged_Ceph_Cluster
Also in the Guide is mentioned that more disks are better then some big disks.
The only Ceph cluster I have...
OK I used Ceph for some months and actually had trhe same issues on a 3 node Cluster because of too slow SSDs. Ceph is a monster when is comes to network and diskio. (thats why I switched back to a classic storage).
The problem is that ceph shines when using massive network speed 25G+ and super...
ok I tested NFS4 again but this time with VM speed test (not CLI) and the perforamnce is the same but is seams that the other VMs does not freeze during big copies anymore.
Have you installed the Windows Drivers:
https://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virtio-win/direct-downloads/archive-virtio/virtio-win-0.1.215-1/
Do you use VirtIO SCSI Controller with scsi Disks (you need the drivers for this) ? Because Sata and IDE are super slow.
Also you can test your Ceph...
Hello Proxmox Users,
I migrated from Ceph to NFS with 10Gbit Interface(tested with aroud 9.3 Gbit real speed) and a Dell/EMC Unity Storage (NFS Speedtest with iozone around 430MB/s write speed).
When I now move VMs to the Storage I get around 130 MB/s (in the VM I get nearly the same speed).
I...
