Another workaround: I'm backing up (snapshot/live) to a PBS server and then restore. Is pretty fast as the backup is incremental, and the source VM does not need to be stopped. I also noticed, that the restore process modified the size of the EFI disk: progress 100% (read 34359738368 bytes...
