So, after troubleshooting this for five hours, things suddenly started working again, and I have no idea why. I kept monitoring the postfix log and noticed that every few minutes PMG would attempt to deliver 1 email and succeed. I then flushed selected emails from the GUI, which also worked...
I upgraded to PMG 8.0, and the problem persists. It looks like the connections to all outgoing SMTP connections on port 25 to any destination server are prematurely terminated. This started happening today for the first time after the server has been running continuously for about six weeks...
I'm having the same problem as of this morning. Disabling and masking ClamAV with systemctl mask clamav-daemon.service clamav-freshclam.service did not work for me; rebooted PMG afterwards as well. My Queues are still filling up with undeliverable mail.
In the PMG syslog I'm seeing log entries...
It looks like my excitement was premature. It turns out that the containers/VMs for which the Backup section populates (and does so quickly) are only those that I created recently, and which have very few backups so far. The older containers/VMs with lots of backups still time out on the GUI.
I...
Thanks for your quick response, Fabian! I got some interesting results...
My system was performing backups, so it was a good opportunity to test the behavior under load. The initial query took 45 seconds. All subsequent queries took between 15 and 18 seconds. It seems that, after the initial...
The "Backup" sections for my virtual machines and containers are not populating.
After the spinner is shown for a while, I get communication failure (0) or Connection Timeout (596).

Sorry to necro an old thread - did you ever figure this out? I'm interested in this as well.
I'm pretty sure that passthrough works with only one VM running at a time, but maybe Proxmox is able to use the physical TPM module as underlying vTPM storage?
@aaron Thank you very much for your response! I can confirm that increasing the values in `/etc/frr/frr.conf` fixes the timeouts. In my case it was sufficient to add just one second to each of them (I didn't bother troubleshooting each setting invidually), so I have:

Our Proxmox nodes are consistently failing to start VMs with GPU passthrough after those have run once or twice, presumably due to memory fragmentation. They consistently start successfully if we launch them via the command line, but they always time out when launched via the GUI. I think the...
I'm seeing the same problem on 7.3.3. I haven't been able to find any related information online.
Changing frr defaults to datacenter did not get rid of the messages.
I'm using Mellanox ConnectX-3 cards in 56GbE mode in case it's relevant.
I looked at the relevant code in...
